Stay informed: Read the Department of Labor’s Public Health Emergencies Q&As
The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) has issued FAQ’s on the federal Family and Medical Leave Act as it applies to COVID-19 and other public health emergencies. Employees on FLMA leave are still entitled to their group health insurance coverage, as always.
The DOL heavily encourages employers to consider flexible leave policies for their employees. It also addresses the Americans with Disabilities Act as it applies to paid leave. Read the Q&A’s here.
